Hi hi... Today - Evangeline is FIVE months old.. Some updates of her growth development:-
- She'll reach out her hands when she wants you to carry her, esp when you clap, clap your hands and ask her if she want to be carried.
- She'll look away or turn away to show that she doesn't like you or doesn't want you to carry her.
- She screams when you remove her toys away from her - show her dislike
- She can hold her pacifier well from one hand to the other and put it in her mouth (developing her motor skills)
- She sleeps through the night (sometimes with a night feed at abt 11ish to 12am)
- She responds to you when you call her name
- She knows who is "Mummy", "Daddy", "Mama", etc - people in her life
- She is very sensitive to voices - e.g. she is drinking milk with her eyes closed but when she hears her Daddy's voice from a distance, she opens her eyes!
- She will lift up both her legs when I change her diapers (seems like she knows she's been cleaned up)
From the above, I can tell that my princess is developing well at her age if not, better than average. She is also very inquisitive as she'll observe and keep looking at her surrounding whenever she's out. Whenever we tell her that she's going out, she seems to be able to understand and becomes very excited and make lots of happy noises. She weighs 7.1kg now!
Evangeline, mummy is starting work on Monday, 23 Jun 08. So, mummy will not be able to spend so much time with you except for feeding. Mummy needs to go back to workforce because mummy needs $$$ to pamper you with nice clothes, classes, etc. And also help daddy out in the finances. Mama will be looking after you lovingly. Mummy do hope you understand, ok my baby? Mummy loves you...
